Airport staff have been working with a consultant to develop the Airport Layout Plan (ALP). There have been ongoing discussions with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to ensure compliance with FAA rules and regulations. Updates to FAA forecasting, FAA Design Standard and the Federal Government shutdown have delayed the project.

Several spot repairs done on taxiways and ramp areas around the Airport

The project was posted for public bid. The contractor has been selected, and staff have been working to develop a contract. Construction will begin after April 1, 2026 due to Super Bowl 60 at Levi’s Stadium and its impacts to the airport and the airspace system.
